GUG extends its heartfelt gratitude to Malta Public Transport for taking a significant step forward in the right direction to enhance the daily commute for Gozitans. This proactive approach aligns with one of GUG’s missions; that is to ensure the best possible journey for all commuters. GUG looks forward to continued collaboration to further elevate the transportation system for everyone’s benefit.

While we wholeheartedly acknowledge the steps taken to revise the timetable, our strong belief in the substantial advantages it will offer to students, staff and all commuters between Cirkewwa and Mater Dei Hospital should not be misconstrued as a halt to GUG’s ongoing advocacy for additional enhancements to the service. We remain steadfast in our pursuit of improvements, including extended operating hours and improved bus punctuality. Nevertheless, one should understand that such changes take time, and for now, GUG will closely monitor the situation, seeking necessary adjustments as we move forward in our mission to ensure the best possible transportation system for all.

While the X300 route primarily caters to university students, GUG is actively engaging in initiatives aimed at ensuring that MCAST students also have access to a transportation service that is reliable and efficient. GUG aims to create a seamless network of services, ensuring that students can easily commute to and from their respective campuses.
