Financial Reflections in a Year of Steady Growth
Financial Officer’s Report for the year ending 4th May, 2025
The GUG continues to serve as the foremost voice of Gozitan students. During the financial year 2024–2025, we generated revenue through events, sponsorships, and memberships, with a total income of €31,552. Despite recording lower profits compared to the previous year, our investment in new initiatives marked a strategic shift toward long-term student engagement.
This year, we proudly introduced three new events: Tequila Tombla, Bingo Booze BBQ, and the GUG Football Tournament. While these required significant startup costs, they are expected to grow into annual fixtures that attract even greater participation in the future.
Our financial health remains sound. I am proud of what this team has accomplished and grateful to my fellow executive members and our many sponsors for their support. It has been a privilege to serve, and I trust the incoming executive will continue to expand GUG’s mission and impact.
